Dolomia Yachts Unveils First-Ever Power Catamaran Series

Italian yacht builder Dolomia Yachts is making waves with the launch of its first power catamaran series, created in collaboration with design firm Centrostiledesign. The line kicks off with two models: the 22-meter D100 and the smaller D70, both designed to offer the spaciousness of a traditional monohull while cutting down on drag and fuel consumption.

The nascent fleet was designed for discerning yachters with a passion for innovation and appreciation for Italian craftsmanship. “Dolomia is aimed at owners of high-end motoryachts who want to increase space and comfort onboard without sacrificing anything, benefiting from shorter hull lengths and more affordable prices compared to monohulls with equivalent usable surface areas,” the yard explains in a statement.

The D100 stands out with roughly 300 square meters of interior space - on par with 30-meter monohulls. Owners can choose a luxurious four-cabin layout with a full-beam master suite, or a five-cabin setup for chartering, complete with crew quarters. Sustainability is at the core of the design, featuring 66 square meters of solar panels generating 15 kWp of power, non-toxic resins, FSC-certified wood, and renewable cork materials.

Propulsion options are equally versatile, including Volvo diesel engines with IPS or straight-shaft setups, as well as hybrid and fully electric systems. The catamaran also incorporates semi-solid-state batteries and photovoltaic panels to further reduce environmental impact.

Luxury touches abound: a flybridge with active spoiler, retractable tender garage for a 5-meter watercraft, and an 18-square-meter beach club area. Dolomia Yachts emphasizes that its hull design not only enhances performance but also minimizes fuel consumption, marrying sustainability with comfort and style.

Founder Alessandro Righi said the company is “very close to achieving the highest technological quality” without sacrificing aesthetic appeal. Construction of the first D100 is already underway, with delivery expected in 2027, while development continues on the D70.

Dolomia has teamed up with four Italian marine suppliers and partnered with NSS Charter for yacht management, including luxury charters in Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda. All yachts will be built using Italy’s renowned shipbuilding expertise, blending tradition with cutting-edge innovation.
