Bering Yachts Partners with RMK Yachts on Expedition Superyachts

Bering Yachts has signed a collaboration agreement with RMK Yachts for the construction of expedition superyachts above 500 GT.

The partnership brings together Bering Yachts’ experience in expedition yacht design and long-range cruising with RMK Yachts’ engineering and shipbuilding capabilities, including expertise in ice-class and Polar Class vessels.

Under the agreement, Bering Yachts will remain responsible for design direction, brand identity and client relationships. RMK Yachts will provide the engineering and construction infrastructure for larger and more technically demanding projects.

The collaboration will cover highly customised superyachts in the 500–3,000 GT range, including vessels designed for high-latitude and polar cruising.

Kristina Güner, Creative Director of Bering Yachts, said the agreement will allow the company to expand its expedition yacht concept to a larger scale by using RMK Yachts’ engineering and construction capabilities.

Alexei Mikhailov, Founder and CEO of Bering Yachts, said RMK Yachts is primarily focused on building superyachts above 40 metres and 500 GT, including vessels with Polar Class capability. He added that the companies are already in discussions with prospective clients for projects in this segment.

“We primarily focus on the construction of superyachts above 40 metres and 500 GT at RMK Yachts’ facilities, including vessels with Polar Class capability, and are already engaged in discussions with prospective clients for projects within this segment. We believe this collaboration creates an opportunity not only to expand our capabilities in building and selling superyachts, but also to establish a strong position in this highly specialised market.”

The agreement marks Bering Yachts’ move into larger expedition superyachts while bringing RMK Yachts’ construction and engineering capabilities into the specialised expedition yacht segment.
