Nautor Swan Launches First Swan 88 with Hybrid Electric Propulsion

Nautor Swan unveiled the fisrt unit of its Swan 88 yacht equipped with hybrid electric propulsion. The grand launch took place at the esteemed Boatbuilding Technology Centre, situated in the heart of Pietarsaari, Finland.

The Swan 88 is the first model developed to offer a hybrid electric propulsion option, a collaborative effort between Nautor Swan and Torqeedo. German Frers handled naval architecture, Misa Poggi for interior design, and Lucio Micheletti for exterior styling.

The yacht features a coachroof inspired by wind dynamics and a transom inviting guests to the 'Beach Club' swim platform. It prioritizes onboard comfort with ample natural light and innovative spatial solutions.

Designed to meet MCA charter regulations, the Swan 88 offers owners an opportunity to reduce running costs through chartering. Its moderate draught fin T-keel and twin rudders ensure both agility and safety while sailing.

Constructed using carbon fiber epoxy technology, the Swan 88 leverages Sprint® lamination and advanced carbon mold techniques.

Giovanni Pomati, Nautor Group CEO, praised the Swan 88 as a milestone in the shipyard's production. The yacht will debut globally at the Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show.
