Dan Snyder’s $200M Superyacht, Lady S Breaks Down in Bay of Biscay

Photo: Raphaël Belly- As reported in The Sun, an incredible superyacht owned by billionaire and former Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder was forced to “limp back” to the coast after breaking down in the middle of the Bay of Biscay, off the coast of France.

The 305ft luxury vessel, Lady S, reportedly lost propulsion due to a mechanical engine failure, leaving the yacht moving at a mere 1.5 knots after all electrical power was lost.
After a slow journey through Carrick Roads, Lady S was spotted docking at Falmouth, Cornwall, for urgent repairs. Eyewitnesses reported tugs assisting the enormous white yacht as her crew scrambled to respond to the crisis.

The helipad, normally reserved for VIP arrivals, became a hub of activity as engineers and mechanics worked to restore the engines. According to The Falmouth Packet, an engineer even flew in from the Netherlands, where the yacht was manufactured, to inspect the vessel.

It is unclear whether Snyder, whose net worth is estimated at $4.7 billion, was aboard at the time of the breakdown.

Lady S is a lavish $200 million superyacht featuring a $3 million IMAX Dolby theatre, a luxury beach club, spa, and an ice plunge pool, making it one of the most opulent private megayachts in the world.

Launched in 2019 by Dutch shipyard Feadship, Lady S is a 92.5 m (303.4 ft) superyacht with a 14.1 m beam and 3.9 m draft. The elegant exterior was designed by Michael Leach, while the interior styling is by Reymond Langton Design. Built over six decks with a 2,999 GT volume, Lady S features luxurious accommodations for 14 guests.
