Eric Schmidt Lists 95-Metre Superyacht Whisper for $172.5 Million
Billionaire tech investor and former Google CEO Eric Schmidt has listed his 95-metre superyacht, Whisper, for sale at an asking price of $172.5 million, making it one of the most notable superyacht brokerage listings of 2026. (Photo © Marino Teobaldo)
Built by German shipyard Lürssen, the yacht was delivered in 2014 as Kismet for billionaire Shahid Khan. Schmidt acquired the yacht in 2023 and renamed her Whisper.
Spread across five decks, Whisper accommodates 12 guests and 27 crew. Her amenities include a master suite with a fireplace, a spa with a cold plunge and steam room, a cinema, a swimming pool and a selection of watersports toys including Jet Skis, wakeboards and kayaks.
The yacht underwent a major refit last year. She was reportedly offered for $161 million when Schmidt purchased her in 2023.
Whisper is not Schmidt’s first major superyacht deal. In 2023, he was also close to acquiring the 81-metre Alfa Nero, which had been seized from a sanctioned Russian oligarch, but ultimately withdrew from the deal amid ongoing legal challenges.
