Superyacht Amels Vibrance Crashes Two Hours After Delivery
The most unfortunate yacht delivery story of 2026 occurred within just 120 minutes of handover. A $17 million superyacht crashed into a bridge in the Bahamas. (Photo: Superyacht Times.)
The Amels Vibrance struck the Paradise Island Bridge shortly after being delivered to its new owner, causing visible damage to its freshly repainted exterior.
The 50-metre yacht had been sold in pristine condition in a deal handled by Paul Cullen and James Lloyd of Edmiston, with an estimated value of $17 million. Built in 2004 and extensively refitted in recent years, the vessel was considered fully upgraded and ready for immediate use.
The incident has quickly become one of the most talked-about mishaps of the year.
