What Is Left of This 34-Metre Yacht After the Fire Is Heartbreaking

What remains of the 34-metre motor yacht Eagle Wings III after a devastating fire in Singapore is difficult to look at. Once a luxury charter yacht cruising tropical islands, the vessel has now been reduced to a burned, partially submerged shell.

The fire broke out onboard the 34-metre Custom Line yacht Eagle Wings III at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove on the morning of June 7. According to local reports, emergency services were alerted at around 8:10am and arrived within minutes to find the yacht already fully engulfed in flames.

As firefighters battled the blaze using multiple water jets and marine support vessels, the situation became even more dramatic when the yacht drifted away from her berth. By early afternoon, eyewitnesses reported that the vessel had become partially submerged.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and all crew members were safely evacuated. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Built in 2005 as part of the Custom Line 112 series, the Italian-built yacht offered accommodation for up to 10 guests across five cabins and was a familiar sight operating charter trips around nearby islands including Lazarus Island.

Powered by twin MTU engines capable of reaching 28.5 knots, Eagle Wings III represented nearly two decades of memories, charter experiences and life at sea.
