Winners of the 2025 Multihull of the Year Awards


Each year, the International Multihull Show (IMS) at La Grande Motte, France, draws the attention of sailing enthusiasts and industry leaders alike — and one of its highlights is the eagerly awaited Multihull of the Year Awards, organized by Multihulls World magazine.


This year’s awards ceremony, attended by around 200 guests, once again reflected the dynamic growth of the multihull sector. Gwen Dorning, CEO of the magazine’s publishing group, emphasized that the awards not only celebrate outstanding boats and shipyards but also mirror the increasing global passion for multihulls.

Here’s a closer look at the winners across the six categories:

 

Sail Cruising (sponsored by Lizmer):
Leopard 46 took top honors, standing out among strong competition including the New 41, Lagoon 43, Sixty Solar Sail, Bali 5.8, Comar C-Ca38, and Max 44SC.

 

Sail Performance (sponsored by GN Espace):
Dragonfly 36 secured the award, prevailing over fellow contenders like the HH52, Cure 55, Balance 580, Rapido 53XS, and Swiss Cat 55.

 

Multipower (sponsored by Sevenstar Yacht Transport):
60 Sunreef Power Eco claimed the title, outperforming the Silent 62, Aquila 50 Yacht, Aventure 38, Yot 41, Dracan 42, and Millikan M9.

 

Multiyacht (sponsored by Caribbean Multihull Challenge):
MODX 70 earned the victory, ahead of nominees including the McConaghy MC75, Two Oceans 870, WiderCat 92, and Bluegame BGM75.

 

IMS Premiere:
Excess 13 captured the award dedicated to standout newcomers at the show.

 

Capt’n Boat Award:
Nautitech 44 Open was honored in this special category.
