The new Y8 of YYachts is on the way to Palma

YYachts, German shipyard has launched the new Y8 and preparing its premiere in Palma International Boat Show running between 25-28 April. The new Y8 will make her premiere at the Palma International Boat Show from the 25th to the 28th of April and currently she is on her way to Palma.

This new Y8 ,80-foot yacht, sharing the full-carbon hull of the "Y8", offers new features like a wider opening tender garage and a minimalist design. It boasts a well-protected cockpit, making it suitable for comfortable transatlantic passages and racing enthusiasts alike. Unlike other 80-foot hulls, this Y8 is without a backstay, allowing for a Square Top mainsail for increased power in light Mediterranean winds.

The interior of the new Y8 reflects the owner's preference for spaciousness, featuring a salon larger than typical for a 80-foot vessel.

Equipped with a self-turning jib, carbon mast, and hydraulic system, the Y8 follows YYachts’ philosophy of simplicity for intuitive yacht management. YYachts founder Michael Schmidt notes the significance of the Y8's design evolution and continuous inspiration from modern materials, innovative design, and the racing world.
