Legendary Greek SuperYacht "Christina O" for Sale
The legendary Christina O, once owned by Greek shipping magnate Aristotelis Onassis, is back on the market with an asking price of around €52 million—down sharply from nearly €80 million in 2025.
More than a superyacht, Christina O remains a symbol of 20th-century glamour and power. Originally launched in 1943 as the Canadian warship HMCS Stormont, the vessel was later transformed by Onassis into one of the most iconic private yachts ever built.
Following Onassis’ death, ownership passed to his daughter, Christina Onassis, who donated it to the Greek state. After a brief and largely symbolic role as a presidential yacht, it returned to private hands in 1998, when it was restored and renamed Christina O.
Today, owned by businessman Ivor Fitzpatrick, the yacht has also been a prominent player in the luxury charter market, commanding rates from €700,000 per week in summer and €740,000 per week in winter, plus expenses.
The yacht holds many stories, including a spot on the pool deck called the “Churchill Terrace,” named after Winston Churchill, who liked to sit there, smoke cigars, and paint.
The most iconic spot on board, kept just as it was in Aristotelis Onassis’ time. Famous for its unique bar stools and the many powerful guests and legendary conversations it has hosted.
