Tim Hund is a sailor, filmmaker and adventurer from Germany. He was born in 1998 and has made a name for himself in the sailing scene with his projects. Together with his best friend Vincent, he embarked on an extraordinary circumnavigation five years ago.

The pair travelled over 40,000 nautical miles on the "ARRYA" sailing boat. They visited 38 countries and experienced countless adventures on all the oceans. They filmed everything themselves and published it on their YouTube channel Segeljungs. The channel now has over 60,000 subscribers and inspires with authentic sailing stories. The trip also resulted in a book with the same name, which tells their experiences in words and pictures. Tim is also working on a cinema film that will soon celebrate its premiere. But after sailing around the world, Tim didn’t just want to rest.

At the beginning of 2025, he began refitting a classic wooden sailing boat from the 1970s. He is completely restoring the boat himself - from the hull to the masts. His aim is to create a traditional and seaworthy sailing boat. He wants to use this boat to explore the North and Baltic Seas extensively. Expeditions to Spitsbergen are also planned, where icebergs could be close enough to touch. Tim is fascinated by the combination of craftsmanship and adventure. He wants to use his restored boat for more than just his own trips. He also plans to make it available to other sailors. In this way, he wants to create the opportunity for others to realise their sailing dreams. His project combines tradition, sustainability and a thirst for adventure.

For Tim, sailing is more than just a hobby - it’s a philosophy of life. He tells his stories not only on YouTube, but also in book form and soon in the cinema.
