The World’s Tallest Sailing Yacht, "SKY" Will Be Launched in 2030

"SKY" will feature a 93-metre mast—about the same height as the Statue of Liberty—making it the tallest sailing yacht ever built.

Royal Huisman, the Dutch shipyard renowned for building some of the world’s most advanced custom sailing yachts since 1884, has announced SKY, an 81-metre sloop set to become the world’s tallest sailing yacht when delivered in 2030.

Designed by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design with interiors by Winch Design, SKY features a carbon mast by Rondal reaching 93 metres - about the same height as the Statue of Liberty. With most design and engineering already complete, the project is ready to begin construction, offering a far shorter timeline than typical super-sloop builds.

Created for world cruising and high performance, SKY combines a long waterline, lifting keel, aluminum construction and optimized weight distribution. Her powerful rig will allow her to sail faster than the wind and even outpace motoryachts of similar size, while advanced controls and twin carbon rudders ensure the handling of a much smaller performance yacht.
