The Beauty of Asymmetrical Decks: New Mangusta GranSport 38 Yacht
Unveiled at the 2026 Miami International Boat Show, the Mangusta GranSport 38 marks the latest evolution from Overmarine Group. Measuring 37.58 metres, the model completes the GranSport line while introducing a refined approach to spatial design through a dual asymmetrical layout.
Unlike traditional symmetrical yachts, the GranSport 38 redistributes deck space to maximize interior volume. On the main deck, a single port-side walkway allows the starboard side to be absorbed into the superstructure, expanding the main saloon to near full-beam proportions. The upper deck reverses the configuration, maintaining safe circulation while increasing usable interior space.
This asymmetrical concept is significant because it enhances natural light, improves sightlines, and creates larger living areas without increasing beam. Floor-to-ceiling glazing strengthens the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, while a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck benefits from wide horizon views.
Powered by four Volvo Penta D13 engines with IPS propulsion from Volvo Penta, the yacht reaches 20 knots and cruises at 18 knots.
With the GranSport 38, Mangusta demonstrates how asymmetry is not merely a stylistic choice, but a strategic design solution that elevates comfort, efficiency, and onboard experience.
