Superyacht Summit Türkiye 2025 Draws Over 450 Industry Leaders to Istanbul

11–12 November 2025, Istanbul — The 3rd edition of Superyacht Summit Türkiye concluded with record attendance and a robust programme that highlighted the country’s fast-growing influence in the global yachting sector. Held across Tersane Istanbul and 2Plan Terminal, the two-day event brought together more than 450 participants, 31 international speakers, and a wide range of shipyards, service providers, designers, captains, and industry experts.

This year’s summit opened with a tribute to the late Halit Yukay, whose pioneering spirit continues to shape Türkiye’s maritime landscape. The first session, presented by Invest in Türkiye, outlined national strategies to strengthen global collaboration and bolster sustainable industry growth.

A central theme throughout the summit was Türkiye’s ascent as the world’s second-largest superyacht builder. The panel “Türkiye 2025: Challenges & Opportunities for the World’s #2 Builder” featured key industry figures including Alex G. Clarke of Denison Yachting, Martin Redmayne of The Superyacht Group, and executives from leading Turkish shipyards. Speakers emphasized the country’s evolution into a hub of innovation, craftsmanship, and refit expertise.

Design took centre stage with legendary yacht designer Dickie Bannenberg, who offered rare insights into the creative process behind iconic projects.

Market trends and buyer behaviour were a major focus. Sessions explored charter dynamics, shifting wealth patterns, the influence of American buyers, and the growing impact of younger UHNWIs on ownership trends. Captain Oliver Michels drew attention with a dramatic account of his Arctic expedition aboard the 44m Maverick.

The summit also hosted two technical masterclasses by Volvo Penta and OmniAccess, attracting captains, owners, and shipyard teams. On-site tender exhibitions featured models from Hunters, Mercedes, Saxdor, and VisionF, while scale models from major shipyards such as Mengi Yay and Turquoise showcased Türkiye’s design and engineering capabilities.

Day One concluded with a cocktail event at DG Art Gallery, while Day Two opened with a keynote by Alex Jimenez — widely known as The Yacht Guy — on the power of social media in shaping the superyacht market.

Other highlights included a shipyard visit to Ses Yachts, discussions on refit excellence, legal governance in yacht construction, wealth structures for asset preservation, and the global expansion of World Boating Day, presented by Dilan Saraç of The Superyacht Life Foundation.

The summit wrapped up with an evening reception at 2Plan Terminal, closing two days of panels, presentations, and networking that reaffirmed Türkiye’s position as a rising global force in superyacht construction, refit, and lifestyle services.
