McLaren Stuns Monaco: Hypercar Arrives on 73-Meter Superyacht

To kick off the race weekend, McLaren, legendary British automotive pioneer, turned heads by delivering its brand-new MCL-HY Hypercar to the harbor strapped to the front deck of a massive 73-meter superyacht named Lunasea.

The Monaco Grand Prix has never been just about Formula 1. Every year, the streets of Monaco transform into one of the world’s most extravagant displays of wealth, where supercars, supermodels, private jets and superyachts all compete for attention.

And nothing captures that atmosphere better than a hypercar arriving directly aboard a superyacht.

This time the backstage for the hypercar is The 73-meter (239'6") superyacht Lunasea (originally named Hasna), a multi-award-winning motor yacht built by the Dutch shipyard Feadship. Her top awards include:The World Superyacht Awards (2018): Winner in the Displacement Motor Yachts between 500GT and 1,999GT category. Design Excellence: She features award-winning naval architecture by De Voogt Naval Architects and exterior/interior styling by British design firm RWD.
