Gabe Newell Takes Delivery of Leviathan, a Superyacht Built for Science, Wellness, and Gaming
Valve co-founder Gabe Newell has officially taken delivery of his new 110.6-metre (363-foot) diesel-electric superyacht Leviathan, built by Oceanco and handed over on November 12. The delivery coincidentally came on the same day Valve unveiled its new Steam Machine console.
Designed as both a luxury retreat and a functional research platform, Leviathan features a fully equipped hospital, science lab, dive centre, hot tub, basketball court, and an impressive 15 dedicated gaming stations - plus two full racing simulators. Whether there’s a Steam Machine on board remains a mystery, but it certainly has the space for one.
Newell has long been known for living much of the year aboard his yachts and for his passion for diving, often doing two sessions a day.
