The Zuidkaper 40 ft is the sister ship of the well-known Noordkaper and has always been in the ownership of her first and only owner. The Noordkaper and Zuidkaper design is the same design of Martin Bekebrede. The underwater hull is identical. Above the waterline, however, she has a more modern appearance, with slightly less sheer and a fold-down transom, making it easy to step aboard directly from the pontoon.

The yacht is currently located in Breskens and has been fully serviced and is ready to set sail immediately. The underwater hull has been treated with a Coppercoat epoxy system and recently has been given three new layers of Coppercoat.
