Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 380 – 2023 | Short keel | Very complete
This Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 380 from 2023 is a modern, comfortable and very fully equipped cruiser. A young ship in which excellent sailing characteristics are combined with plenty of living space and a smart deck layout. Thanks to the short keel with a draught of only 1.56 meters, this is also a very interesting version for Dutch waters, but also for open waters.
One of the great strengths of the Sun Odyssey 380 is its unique deck layout. The continuous gangways run towards the cockpit without obstacles, making it easy and safe to move around the ship. In combination with the double steering position, the large folding swimming platform and the spacious cockpit, this makes for a very pleasant ship, both during sailing and for staying on board.
This 380 also has a fully lockable cockpit tent. This allows the cockpit to be completely closed off in bad weather and actually creates an extra living space on board. Together with the sprayhood, bimini and heating, this makes the ship excellent for a long sailing season. The cockpit tent, bimini and sprayhood are made of taupe.
The ship is also very complete in terms of maneuvering and technique. The 40 hp Yanmar 3JH40 and electric bow thruster make her pleasant to sail and easy to maneuver. On deck we find, among other things, an electric windlass with remote control and chain counter, an electric winch on the cabin roof, teak in the cockpit and a bowsprit with integrated anchor.
Navigation equipment has also been enhanced with Raymarine Axiom 7 chartplotter, Raymarine AIS 700 transceiver, Raymarine P70s autopilot with ACU400, Raymarine i70 instruments, Ray63 VHF radio, and wind, depth and speed gauges. This makes the ship immediately equipped for both short day trips and longer trips.
Below deck, it is immediately noticeable how much space and light Jeanneau has managed to get out of 38 feet. This version has three cabins and therefore offers plenty of space for family and guests. The spacious saloon and complete galley with fridge, freezer, oven and two-burner gas stove make a longer stay on board comfortable. Furthermore, the ship has hot water, Webasto hot air heating, air conditioning, an inverter, shore power and two 80-liter holding tanks.
In short, a young and very fully equipped Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 380 that distinguishes itself by its short keel, continuous gangways and fully lockable cockpit tent.
