El Dufour 34 Performance es un velero de crucero-regata que combina diseño moderno y altas prestaciones. Cuenta con una eslora aproximada de 10,60 m y una manga de 3,48 m, lo que le otorga buena estabilidad y habitabilidad. Su calado, cercano a 1,90 m (según versión), favorece el rendimiento a vela.
El casco está construido en fibra de vidrio con refuerzos estructurales que garantizan rigidez y durabilidad. Incorpora un aparejo fraccionado tipo sloop, con mástil de aluminio y velas que optimizan el rendimiento en distintas condiciones de viento.
Está equipado con un motor intraborda diésel de unos 20–30 HP, adecuado para maniobras y navegación auxiliar. En cubierta, presenta una bañera amplia y ergonómica con doble rueda de timón en algunas versiones, facilitando el control.
