If you had to describe the boat for sale in one word, it would be "UNIQUE".
Unique because it is one of a kind. The bakdekker was custom built in 1963 by the renowned shipyard Molenmaker&Mantel. Originally it served as a solid working vessel to pull the legendary rainbow yachts to regattas.
Unique is also the space offered: thanks to a width of 3.95m and a headroom of almost 2 meters in the salon, the boat offers an impressive feeling of space with a very generous interior layout. The interior was extensively renewed with Fenix white, which is very easy to clean and robust thanks to nanotechnology and looks extremely elegant with its matt surface.
The salon with the interior steering position has a width of 3.2m and is very bright and comfortable in white tones due to the many windows and a large skylight. In addition, it has a seating area in L-shape and a height-adjustable table. The open American kitchen/bar is fully equipped with refrigerator with icebox (220V/12V/gas), gas oven and 5-burner gas stove. To the right of the galley is an electric seawater toilet (possibility of switching to holding tank already prepared). Further one reaches the bow cabin with a generous bunk. Even in these rooms there is still full headroom.
Aft of the salon is the bedroom with a full-size bed with 1.8 x 2.0m lying area. Adjacent to this is the brand-new bathroom (also in Fenix white) with shower, sink, electric toilet (connected to holding tank).
Various LED lighting, some of which is indirect, also creates an atmospheric ambience in the evening.
The upper deck is flat and elegantly furnished with a large rear bench, which includes a cooling compartment, cup holders and a footrest. Thanks to the second steering station, there is a first-class overview. Since the windows can be folded down, the result is an extremely low clearance of only about 2.7 m - making it suitable for almost all cruising grounds.
The original Peugeot diesel has been replaced by a more powerful PERKINS engine M90 with 84 hp, which has only a few operating hours. Complete inspection was done in 2022.
The bilge was partially painted with new bilge paint in white and otherwise still has the original condition with lead detergent from the factory. No rust visible at all!!!
Overall, the bakdekruiser is in good condition and ready to sail immediately, however the wooden superstructure needs some love in the form of sandpaper, brushes and varnish/oil.
Work done in the last 12 months:
- Underwater hull blasting, sanding, epoxy primer 2x, antifouling 2x.
- Bilge at steering gear, bath and front toilet as well as under galley, bow thruster and holding tank treated with special primer and 3 coats of bilge paint white
- Hull sides sanded to waterline and painted 2 coats.
- Handrails painted with precious wood oil
- Wooden superstructures on sides and front repainted
- Propeller balanced
- Installation of holding tank 250l in stainless steel with level indicator
- New bathroom aft with shower with GROHE thermostat, hand wash basin and electric WC with connection to holding tank and indirect LED lighting
- Installation of diesel heating
- New shaft seal
- New batteries
