Warmly timbered houseboat with berth
When you enter this completely rebuilt Groninger Bolpraam, it feels like a warm bath. The current owner is a ship's carpenter, who has used plane and oak wood, beautifully finished, with round shapes, to create a real ship's paradise. Another nice detail is that he has used wood from his father's sawmill.
The ship has a permanent berth in a row of 3 houseboats, in a canal where little sailing is done, in the middle of the Zaanse polder landscape, near the beach, Zaandam, Haarlem and Amsterdam. It is situated on a strip of private land of 56m2. The annual costs are approximately 1.200,=.
The boat has recently received new double glazing, the roof is insulated with PIR and EPDM, ready to put a sedum roof on it. Heating now comes from 2 wood stoves and a CV that works via a Kabola diesel heater.
Nice detail of this ship is also the former wheelhouse. The floor has been taken out and a sitting area has been created with beautiful views all around. The ship has a spacious bathroom with a beautiful wooden sink, electric toilet and bathtub.
