Built by META, the French yard renowned for its seagoing aluminium hulls, this 2001 METAKING belongs to that rare breed of trawlers designed to go far and stay away. At 12.85 m, with three cabins and exceptional fuel capacity, she suits crews who want to live aboard without compromising on range or ruggedness. Priced at 118,000 € VAT paid, she sails under the FRANCE flag.
Construction and seakeeping
Hull and deck entirely in aluminium, 12,000 kg displacement, 3.62 m beam and just 1 m draft: a combination that allows offshore passages as well as exploring shallow waters, estuaries and canals. A beaching leg is part of the equipment. Antifouling is listed in the inventory.
Power and range
Twin NANNI 5.280HR 4-cylinder diesels, dating from 2007 with 2,500 hours, drive conventional shafts. Cruising speed is 8 knots with an 11-knot top speed, for a consumption of 15 l/h. With 3,500 litres of fuel and 1,000 litres of fresh water, her voyaging vocation is clear. Below, 8 berths in 3 cabins, 10 persons allowed, and a convertible saloon for generous accommodation.
