LAGOON 500 - THE BLUE-WATER CRUISING CATAMARAN, READY TO GO
Built by Lagoon, this 2006 model belongs to the generation of catamarans that established the yard as a reference for long-distance family cruising. At 15.54 m overall, with a flybridge and four cabins, she combines exceptional volume, range and easy handling. Polish flagged, she is now offered at €449,000 incl. VAT, Europe navigation area.
Construction and sea-keeping
GRP hull, 15.54 m long by 8.53 m wide with a draft of only 1.40 m: the platform delivers outstanding stability and access to the shallowest anchorages. For a 17-tonne displacement, the rig is easily handled with a fully battened in-mast furling mainsail, a 62 m² genoa and a 145 m² furling gennaker in as-new condition. Decks and cockpit are teak-laid.
Power and life on board
Propulsion is by a SOLE DIESEL U 125 P 125 hp (2014, 2,500 hours) on shaft drive, for a 7-knot cruising speed and 7 l/h consumption. With 950 litres of fuel and 961 litres of water, range matches the programme. Below, 4 cabins and 8 berths, up to 12 people on board, a full galley (oven, hob, microwave, electric fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine) and a convertible saloon.
