De Super Van Craft 14.80 Cabrio is eigenlijk het eindpunt van ruim vijftig jaar ontwikkeling van de klassieke Super Van Craft. Het is geen volledig nieuw ontwerp, maar een moderne doorontwikkeling van het oorspronkelijke werfconcept van Jachtwerf Klaassen uit de jaren 50, 60 en 70.
De 14.80 Cabrio werd ontwikkeld voor eigenaren die veel op de Europese binnenwateren en de Franse kanalen wilden varen. Daarom kwam er een neerklapbare cabriokap met een relatief lage doorvaarthoogte zonder daarbij het unieke karakter van een Super Van Craft uit het oog te verliezen. Bij de uitvoering van rond 2010 werd veel aandacht besteed aan geluidsisolatie, dubbel glas, moderne installaties en een efficiëntere indeling. De romp is circa 14,80×4,45 m. en biedt aanzienlijk meer leefruimte en comfort dan bij de voorgaande modellen. Uitermate geschikt voor langer verblijf of permanente bewoning.
Wat de 2010-uitvoering onderscheidend maakt en dit exemplaar in het bijzonder:
dubbele John Deere dieselmotoren;
hydraulische boeg- en hekschroef;
stabilisatoren;
getint dubbelglas in aluminium profielen;
zeer luxe teakinterieur, volledig door de werf gebouwd;
relatief lage doorvaarthoogte dankzij de cabrioconstructie.
