Der 383 MAG Stroker ist die hubraumstärkere Variante der MerCruiser-V8-Familie: mehr Drehmoment als die Standardversion, stärkerer Antritt aus dem Stand, zügiger auf Plane — mit 350 PS auf einer 8,5-Meter-Plattform. Canadian Boating testete die 275 Sundancer und attestierte 7,5 Sekunden auf Plane und knapp 40 mph Topspeed: „tossable and accurate handling, more like a sport boat than a cruiser.“
Das Raumkonzept ist das eigentliche Markenzeichen dieser Baureihe: Eignerkabine, Gästekabine und Achterkabine auf 8,5 Metern, dazu zwei getrennte Duschen und ein elektrisches WC. Das gelingt durch eine Raumaufteilung, die Sea Ray über mehrere Baujahre hinweg konsequent entwickelt hat.
