The Dufour 40 Performance is well-known for its excellent nautical qualities and racing capabilities.
Strengths and Sailing Characteristics
Sporting and Cruising Spirit: Designed to combine competitive drive in offshore regattas with the comfort required for fast cruising.
Upwind Performance: Its sleek hull lines, well-balanced center of gravity, and generous sail plan (a 9/10 fractional rig with two sets of spreaders) allow for excellent upwind angles, while it easily reaches speeds of 7–8 knots or more when sailing off the wind.
Deck and Ergonomics: Features a spacious cockpit, a responsive wheel-steering system, and well-positioned track cars; the stern includes a fold-down swim platform, created by lowering the helmsman’s seat.
Interior: Available in either a 2-cabin configuration (with a large owner’s head) or a 3-cabin layout with 2 heads, it stands out for its generous headroom and highly functional interior volume compared to other racer-cruisers in the same category.
The stunning hull lines of the Dufour 40 Performance were expertly crafted by Umberto Felci Yacht Design.
Created to bridge the gap between the demands of fast cruising and regatta racing, this vessel features sleek hull lines, an advantageous center of gravity, and excellent upwind performance. It easily achieves speeds of 7–8 knots under favorable conditions.
My Blue Time is a 3-cabin, 2-head "Arpège Limited Edition"—a special version produced by Dufour shipyard to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its iconic, highly acclaimed model. Commissioned by her sole owner, this sailing cruiser features an upgraded engine Volvo Penta D2-55 hp (instead of standard 40Hp version) and a performance package that includes a taller mast and a 2.10m lead keel.
In addition to the standard sails (Elvstrom full-batten mainsail and Genoa), she comes with a 2016 Carbon-Kevlar racing sail inventory, a light jib, a lightly used spinnaker, and an Elvstrom-Sobstad asymmetrical spinnaker. The engine has been serviced in 2024, including a complete overhaul of the heat exchanger, a new riser, and servicing of the injectors.
Italian-flagged, with a safety certificate issued in 2024 (valid until 2029).... texte entier
