Description +
Sporty and distinctive Norwegian polyester spitsgatter with a soft top, a spacious layout, and a particularly powerful 210 hp engine. The Agder 840 is one of the more spacious boats in its segment and combines that spaciousness with the pleasant handling characteristics and excellent visibility so typical of a Scandinavian motor yacht. A boat with which you can just as easily spend an afternoon on the Frisian lakes as make a longer trip towards the IJsselmeer or the Wadden Sea.
The gangways are spacious and easily accessible. The stainless steel railing and various stainless steel handrails ensure safe and pleasant passage across the ship. The open cockpit is easily accessible from the gangways. Here you will find a spacious seating area, a clear steering position with an adjustable steering seat on the starboard side, and a practical galley on the port side. The passenger seat in the galley can be easily folded up when using the kitchen. A sunbed is located on the roof of the aft cabin. Thanks to the full convertible top, the entire cockpit can be covered, allowing you to stay here comfortably in various weather conditions.
From the cockpit, you can easily walk through to the aft cabin, which houses a double bed, a settee, and wardrobe space. In the bow, there is a spacious circular seating area that can easily be converted into an extra berth. Adjacent to this is a sanitary room featuring an electric toilet and washbasin. The layout is practical but certainly does not feel cramped: various functions are logically distributed throughout the ship, and there is ample cupboard and storage space. This makes the Agder 840 suitable not only for day trips but also perfectly suited for spending several days on board.
The 210 hp engine gives the Agder 840 a nice extra range. It is not an engine that calls for fast sailing, but rather a power output that you will enjoy while underway. The boat gets up to speed quickly, handles well on larger waters, and allows you to cover longer distances without a destination suddenly feeling too far away. From Friesland, you can sail straight onto the Wadden Sea, and the Wadden Islands are also within reach. Fancy a day trip to Ameland or Schiermonnikoog? With this Agder 840, that is not an ambitious plan, but simply a beautiful day on the water.
The equipment is complete, including a bow thruster, solar panel with charge controller, Victron SmartShunt, boiler, heating, electrically operated stern anchor with remote control, deck shower, and chart plotter.
