JEANNEAU SUN ODYSSEY 45.2 - BLUEWATER CRUISING IN FULL CONFIDENCE
Built by Jeanneau and launched in 2000, the Sun Odyssey 45.2 remains one of the yard's benchmark 45-foot offshore cruisers. This pre-owned example, registered under the FRANCE flag, combines generous interior volume, a well-balanced sail plan and easy handling - exactly what a family yacht needs for long passages. Construction and seakeeping
Measuring 13.77 m in length with a 4.48 m beam, the hull delivers solid stability and a sound motion at sea. Hull in GRP - fibreglass, deck finished in teak. Standing rigging dates from 2000, running rigging was renewed in 2012, with winches and an in-mast furling mainsail making short-handed sailing straightforward.
Engine and accommodation
Power comes from a YANMAR 4JH3-TE diesel on shaft drive with 2,400 hours, giving 6 knots cruising and 9 knots top speed, around 2 l/h consumption and 205 litres of fuel capacity. Below, 3 cabins and 6 berths welcome up to 8 people on board, in a layout equally suited to time at the dock and extended cruising.
