Army boat 700 now in the online auction. Everyone can place bids until 14 December 2026.What condition is she in?The boat is offered in reasonable condition. This is a general assessment and does not guarantee the operation of individual components. The available information contains no recent maintenance records. It is not known when she was last taken out of the water, and no information is available about the last antifouling treatment.
The steering position is located inside. The available equipment, wiring, controls and other technical components can be inspected during the viewing day. As the boat’s history is limited, it is recommended that you inspect her calmly and carefully. Pay particular attention to the condition of the steel, the connections, the floor, the interior space and the accessibility of technical components. Anyone wishing to buy a boat based on a realistic assessment would do well to determine in advance what work may be required.
Does the engine work? The Army boat 700 has one engine, but its operation is unknown. No information is available about the engine’s make, type, power, running hours or maintenance history. It has also not been established whether the starting system, cooling, propulsion and controls function properly.
This means that you should consider the engine an unassessed part of the purchase. During the viewing day, you can inspect the engine compartment and visible components. Use the available information as a starting point and take into account the possibility of technical inspection, maintenance or repairs after purchase. A specialist can help assess the technical possibilities and the work that may be expected.
What is included with this boat? The boat is offered without a trailer. The Army boat 700 therefore forms the main part of this auction lot. No detailed information is available about loose equipment, inventory or additional accessories. For this reason, carefully check during the viewing day which components are actually present and what condition they are in.
The background of this boat is unusual. She came into custody because she was involved in the performance of a government task. The owner did not collect her afterwards. After the statutory holding period had expired, she was offered for auction. The available information about her history is limited, so you must make your own assessment based on the visible condition and the information in this lot description.
What should you look out for during the viewing day?During the viewing day, you will have the opportunity to inspect the Army boat 700 up close. This is the appropriate time to assess her exterior, interior space, engine installation and steering. Look for visible damage, signs of wear, moisture, corrosion and the general condition of the steel hull. Also check whether the layout suits the use you have in mind.
The viewing day is intended for inspecting the boat. No trial run is offered and it is not possible to operate the boat yourself. Therefore, take sufficient time to inspect all visible components and decide in advance which points are decisive for you.
Does this boat suit your plans? The Army boat 700 may be of interest to anyone looking for a spacious steel vessel and willing to have her technical condition investigated further. Her dimensions provide a broad foundation, but the unknown engine condition and limited maintenance information call for a realistic approach. She is not an obvious choice for anyone wanting to take to the water immediately without further investigation.
Anyone looking for boat-buying tips should, with this lot, take transport, inspection, repairs and future maintenance into account in addition to the purchase price. For someone specifically looking to buy a second-hand boat and who sees potential for carrying out their own work, this Army boat 700 could be an interesting opportunity. Inspect her carefully during the viewing day and then decide whether she matches your experience, budget and plans.
