Build and seakeeping
Polyester hull with a GRP - fibreglass deck, a proven structure. At 12.59 m overall, 4.13 m beam and 2.60 m draft for a displacement of 8,900 kg, the 42 DS is a stable, powerful platform upwind and downwind alike. The rig is complete: standing and running rigging, winches, mainsail traveller, backstay, halyard turning blocks and spinnaker gear, all handled from twin wheels.
