Jeanneau Fantasia 27 for relaxing cruisesWhat type of boat is the Jeanneau Fantasia 27?The 1984 Jeanneau Fantasia 27 is a compact cabin sailing boat with a practical layout and a length of 8.30 metres. With a beam of 2.90 metres, she offers enough space for relaxing day trips and short holidays on sheltered waters. The boat has been used on lakes for leisure sailing and day trips. Thanks to her manageable size, she is suitable for someone who wants to learn to handle a cabin sailing boat independently or is looking for an affordable second-hand boat for recreational use.
The boat is steered from the cockpit using a tiller and a single rudder. The original keel had a draught of 1.50 metres, but a former owner, who was a yacht builder, shortened it by 25 centimetres. The current draught is therefore approximately 1.25 metres. This means that the Jeanneau Fantasia 27 can be used on many lakes where a deeper keel would be less practical. Her air draught is approximately 11 metres.
Jeanneau Fantasia 27 now available in the online auction. Everyone can place a bid until 16 November 2026.What is the living space like on board?Inside, the boat has approximately 1.75 metres of headroom. She has four fixed berths and two additional berths. The cabin is equipped with a dinette, mattresses and seating cushions. The cabin cushions are in neat condition. The cockpit seating cushions were replaced in 2025. This provides a comfortable place to sit outside during a trip or on a quiet evening on board.
The galley has a cooking appliance and a small refrigerated compartment. This is not a full-size refrigerator, but a limited cooling facility for drinks and small food items, for example. There is a 60-litre water tank. The toilet is manually operated. The toilet outlet discharges directly into the open water, something to take into account when using the boat and choosing sailing areas.
What engine and equipment does she have? The Jeanneau Fantasia 27 is equipped with a 1984 Yanmar 1GM10 inboard diesel engine. This single-cylinder engine has an output of 8 hp and is electrically started. According to the available information, the engine is operational. The fuel tank has a capacity of 30 litres. The stated maximum speed is approximately 10.75 kilometres per hour.
On board are an oil pressure gauge, an alternator and a battery charger. The electrical system operates at 12 volts and is powered by one battery with a capacity of 100 amp-hours. Navigation equipment includes a log and speedometer, as well as a VHF radio. The boat has an aluminium mast and two sails: a mainsail and a genoa. The sails are in reasonable condition. The headsail is equipped with a furling system.
Outside, you will find a sprayhood, a cockpit table, outdoor cushions, a teak deck, guardrails, a swimming ladder, fenders and lines. There is also a manually operated anchor windlass with one anchor and chain. A lifebuoy is part of the safety equipment. In addition, a mainsail cover, a blue sprayhood, a boat cover and a lifebuoy are included.
What points require attention? The boat has several known points requiring attention. The cables for, among other things, the VHF radio need to be reconnected. The interior lining has come loose in a few places. The direct connection of the heater to the fuel tank has been removed, but according to the information provided, it can be reinstalled. During heavy rainfall and with a particular wind direction, minor leakage may occur around the window above the galley.
The rudder was replaced in the winter of 2020–2021. In 2024, the boat was taken out of the water for maintenance. The underwater hull was repainted at that time and provided with a new antifouling coating. She then spent the winter ashore in storage. The work carried out and the points requiring attention provide you with a clear picture of the boat.
How does the Jeanneau Fantasia 27 sail?According to the available description, the boat sails comfortably and moves smoothly through the water. Her adjusted draught makes her interesting for use on various lakes. The combination of her modest size, tiller steering and straightforward sail plan with a mainsail and genoa makes her suitable for relaxing trips with family or friends. The four fixed berths provide space for several days on board, while the additional berths make the layout more flexible.
