EXTENSIVELY UPGRADED OYSTER 56 – BLUEWATER READY
A rare opportunity to acquire a genuinely bluewater-capable Oyster 56, extensively upgraded and carefully maintained for comfortable long-distance cruising and liveaboard life.
Built in 2003 and commissioned in 2004, this Oyster 56 (Hull #34) represents everything that has made Oyster one of the most respected names in offshore sailing. Designed by renowned naval architect Rob Humphreys, the Oyster 56 is admired worldwide for its balance of strength, comfort, seaworthiness and elegant craftsmanship.
This particular yacht benefits from significant investment and refit work completed in 2014 and again in 2022–2025, including new standing rigging, lithium battery system, modern navigation electronics, generator replacement, upgraded heating systems, serviced hydraulics and extensive ongoing maintenance. The result is a yacht that feels properly prepared for serious cruising rather than simply cosmetically updated.
Her striking blue hull, teak decks and protected centre cockpit create the timeless Oyster profile that continues to appeal to experienced sailors and discerning cruising owners alike. Whether used for Mediterranean cruising, Atlantic crossings or extended liveaboard adventures, she offers the comfort, autonomy and confidence expected from a true offshore yacht.
The interior is finished in beautifully crafted teak joinery throughout and offers spacious accommodation for owners and guests, with excellent storage, practical systems access and a warm, welcoming atmosphere ideal for extended time aboard.
Currently lying in Barcelona and presented in good condition, this Oyster 56 is available for inspection by appointment.
