JEANNEAU PRESTIGE 450 - THE FAMILY FLYBRIDGE THAT THINKS BIG
Jeanneau's Prestige range was built on a simple idea: deliver the volume and refinement of a yacht within a 14-metre hull. This 2013 Prestige 450, FRANCE flagged, is a fine example. Two cabins, six berths, a generous flybridge and capacity for 12 people make it an ideal coastal cruiser for family and friends, with only 401 hours on the engines.
Build and seakeeping
A polyester hull measuring 13.96 m with a 4.30 m beam, a shallow 1.05 m draft and an 11,500 kg displacement: proportions that open up shallow waters and sheltered anchorages while keeping a solid feel at sea. Decks and cockpit are laid in teak, a hallmark finish on this model and a secure surface underfoot.
Power and performance
Twin VOLVO D6 435 hp engines, six cylinders with seawater cooling, drive through pods - a setup combining efficiency, low noise and outstanding handling alongside, backed by a bow thruster. A 24-knot cruising speed, 1,200 litres of diesel and 520 litres of fresh water give genuine range. Engine hours stand at 401 and 400 respectively.
