This 2018 Linssen Grand Sturdy 500 AC Variotop is a particularly well-equipped motor yacht, designed for comfortable cruising and extended stays on board. With her generous dimensions, three cabins and six fixed berths, she offers plenty of living space, while the electrically operated Variotop roof combines the comfort of a sheltered wheelhouse with the open-air feeling of a convertible yacht.
The exterior decks are beautifully finished in teak and surrounded by a stainless-steel railing, with integrated fold-down boarding steps on both sides. At the stern is a hydraulic H+B bathing platform with a lifting capacity of up to 600 kg, finished with solid teak slats and incorporating a folding stainless-steel swimming ladder with teak steps. A cockpit table, sunshade and teak sun loungers further enhance the outdoor living space.
The spacious wheelhouse provides excellent visibility and an extensive range of equipment. Manoeuvring is made particularly easy by the heavy-duty proportional Lippcon bow and stern thrusters, powered by 220V via the generator, together with a Dockmate wireless remote control for both engines and thrusters. Navigation equipment includes two Raymarine Axiom 12-inch multifunction displays, Raymarine Quantum radar, AIS, autopilot with remote control and VHF. Wi-Fi with 5G connectivity is also installed.
Inside, the yacht features the warm and timeless Linssen interior, complemented by double-glazed windows for additional insulation and comfort. The spacious saloon offers a large U-shaped seating area, separate dining area and generous storage. The galley is equipped with a four-zone Siemens ceramic hob, Siemens microwave and dishwasher. Refrigeration capacity is extensive, with an approximately 130-litre Isotherm refrigerator, a second 134-litre AEG refrigerator, a Bosch freezer with three large drawers and a separate ice maker.
Comfort on board is further enhanced by central heating throughout the yacht, with individual thermostatic and app control and larger radiators in the saloon. The owner’s cabin is additionally equipped with air conditioning, making the yacht suitable for comfortable use throughout a large part of the year.
The spacious owner’s cabin is located aft and features a freestanding double bed and private bathroom with electric toilet and shower. Forward are two further guest cabins, one with a freestanding double bed and the other with two single berths. A second electric toilet and separate shower serve the guest accommodation. Televisions are fitted in the owner’s cabin, forward cabin, saloon and at the helm station, with Bose audio systems in both the saloon and wheelhouse.
Technically, this Grand Sturdy is equally comprehensive. She is powered by twin Volvo Penta D3-150 diesel engines with shaft drive. In August 2026, the electrical system was upgraded with three Victron Energy 300Ah LiFePO₄ lithium batteries, combined with a Victron Quattro 12/3000/120 inverter/charger and two 430W solar panels. The Cummins generator is equipped with an automatic start function, while shore-power connections are conveniently located at both the bow and stern.
