The CARTER 37 is a Dick CARTER design built at Olympic Yachts in Greece. It comes from YDRA, winner of the ONE TON CUP in 1973. Dick CARTER became famous for the ingenuity and the track records of RABBIT, TINA, OPTIMIST, RED ROOSTER, CORIOLAN... When it was released, the CARTER 37 is hailed by the specialist press as a fast and solid racing-cruising sailboat. Its large overlapping genoa and low freeboard make it a particularly elegant sailboat that will attract attention. Its 2.85 t lead ballast makes it a stiff and safe sailboat. This boat benefited from a "refit" in 2020-2021, in particular: Anti-osmosis treatment in 2007 (ACS Nantes). 20% aero-scrub and epoxy coating in 2021. Complete painting of the deadworks in 2021. Removal and refitting of the keel for repair of the joint in 2022. Designed for racing-cruising, the saloon has 2 low berths with upholstery redone in 2021 and 2021 anti-roll canvases and 2 high berths. The paints, varnishes of floors, doors and all linings are new from 2021. In the saloon lit by an opening panel redone in 2021 we find in the center a telescopic table installed in 2021 with 2 folding flaps. Ceiling solar ventilator.
To port of the companionway, there is the kitchen area and its storage space with sink and pressurized water, 12V cooler and fridge, 2-burner stainless steel gas stove (2013) on gimbals. To starboard of the companionway are the chart table, the navigation instruments and the electrical panel. The navigator has a berth with opening porthole in the cockpit.
On the port side, a toilet completely redone in 2016 with opening porthole, lighting, mirror, sink and pressurized water, chemical toilet and storage. To starboard, opposite the bathroom, a double wardrobe with closing canvases (2021). At the far front, a large sleeping triangle for 2 or 3 people lit by 2 LED ceiling lights, an opening deck panel redone in 2021. Solar vent on the ceiling. Energy on board: 1 110 Ah battery, 2 100 Ah batteries – 2 couplers and battery disconnectors, 150 W removable flexible solar panel with charge regulator (2021). All LED ceiling lighting from 2021. Bluetooth FM radio and USB connector ( 2022) Two 12 V sockets: cigarette lighter and USB (2022) - VHF NAVICOM RT 450 ASN fixed and one portable VHF NAVICOM RT 411 5 W. Electric fuel gauge 20211.
