Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 490 (barca a vela) - vendita

Remarks :
Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 490 (2020)
The Sun Odyssey 490 is one of the easiest and most enjoyable 50-foot cruisers to own and sail — and a great opportunity for a non-EU couple looking for comfort, autonomy, and strong summer income potential if wanted.
Her standout feature remains the walkaround deck design. Gently sloping side decks lead from cockpit to bow without climbing over coamings, making movement around the yacht safe, relaxed, and confidence-inspiring. Twin helms, a wide flush cockpit, and a large fold-down bathing platform create a layout that works just as well under way as it does at anchor.
Just as importantly, this yacht benefits from a strong electrical and charging setup, making life at anchor easier and more independent. With a large domestic battery bank, solar integrated into the bimini, and a high-capacity inverter, she is well suited to extended periods off the dock — ideal for Ionian cruising and charter use alike.
The cockpit is designed for enjoyment. The coamings convert easily into sunbeds, turning the cockpit into a relaxed social space for swimming stops, afternoons at anchor, and easy Mediterranean living — while remaining practical and uncluttered for sailing.
Below deck, four spacious double cabins, each with its own ensuite head, make this yacht ideal for private cruising or charter use. The bright saloon and centrally positioned U-shaped galley offer excellent flow and comfort, whether hosting guests or living aboard for longer periods.
She is currently ashore in Preveza and presented in excellent condition. Offered ex VAT under Greek NEPA commercial registration, with a transferable berth in Volos available at just €1,200 per year, this is a ready-to-go platform for cruising now and earning during the season.

Broker’s Remarks
This Sun Odyssey 490 offers a rare mix of comfort, simplicity, and enjoyment. She is big enough to feel luxurious, yet genuinely easy for two to manage. The walkaround deck layout improves safety and flow, while the upgraded electrical system supports longer stays at anchor with fewer compromises — something both private owners and charter guests value highly.
Combined with her commercial setup, low-cost berth, and proven four-cabin layout, she represents a genuine opportunity to enjoy Mediterranean cruising while generating seasonal income, without unnecessary complexity.

Manufacturer:
As with every Sun Odyssey, the cockpit ergonomics are second to none. Every sheet is cleverly led to the helm station, where the boat can be easily single or double handed. The massive cockpit lounge is framed by the iconic walk around decks, which make movement around the boat easier than ever before. However, the game changer comes when the convertible coamings, the unfolding seat backs, are set up as beds. The entire aft eight feet of the boat transform into a cushioned sun bathing deck.
The open concept interior is bathed in light, as the main salon features many rows of windows and hatches. The central U-shaped galley is optimally placed for comfort while under way, as well as serving meals in the salon. In the 490, the nav station is particularly emphasized, as there is an aft facing bench added to it, elevating this feature into a coffee nook or home office.
