Built by AB Marine and launched in 2010, the Eclipse 472 is an offshore cruising catamaran designed for life aboard. At 14.30 m with four cabins and a shallow 1.25 m draft, she suits crews looking for autonomy, comfort and access to the most sheltered anchorages. Offered used at €199,000 incl. VAT.
Build and seakeeping
GRP hull and fibreglass deck for a proven, easily maintained structure. A 7.40 m beam provides a wide, stable platform, while the 6,900 kg displacement stays moderate for a catamaran of this size. The rig combines a full-batten furling mainsail, a Spectra furling jib and a tri-radial Mylar gennaker, with an Incidence boom, lazy jacks and lazy bag - a complete, shorthanded-friendly wardrobe.
Performance and layout
Power comes from a 40 hp Nanni N 4.38 diesel, 4-cylinder with seawater cooling, showing 540 hours. She cruises at 8 knots for 4 l/h, with 400 litres of fuel aboard.
