The Pintail 27 was built in the 1970s at the Rossiter boatyard in England, over specified and of robust quality, seaworthy with Lloyds 100 A1 Yacht certificate. Hull and deck are made of polyester, characteristic are the solid varnished wooden parts, such as the cockpit, foot and handrail, deck hatch, etc. With the long keel and bilge keels, upright drying out is possible, which makes the Pintail very suitable for exploring tidal waters such as for example the Wadden Sea. This Pintail is one of the few models equipped with a wooden gaff rigging and mast lowering system. The jib and staysail are both furling and can be operated from the cockpit. The mainsail can also be reefed by partially rolling it onto the furling boom. The interior is fitted with solid mahogany and looks spacious thanks to the elevated topside with a headroom of approximately 1.80 m. Next to the cabin entrance on the SB side there is a hanging locker with a stow away chart table.
