A truly unique opportunity to acquire a rare Nissen 34 one-off yacht, where uncompromising craftsmanship, impressive sailing performance and intelligent custom solutions come together in perfect harmony.
This cold-molded yacht was built by renowned boatbuilder Gert Wegner for his own personal use – something clearly reflected in the exceptional build quality, attention to detail and overall execution throughout the vessel. This is far from a production boat; every aspect has been carefully considered both aesthetically, practically and technically.
The Nissen 34 offers truly outstanding sailing characteristics. Fast, responsive and exceptionally capable upwind, the yacht delivers a stable and confidence-inspiring experience in all conditions.
The advanced rigging setup with extensive trimming possibilities allows the experienced sailor to fine-tune the yacht for optimal balance, control and performance. This is a yacht designed for sailors who appreciate true sailing qualities rather than mass production compromises.
A particularly attractive feature is the hydraulic swing keel, combining excellent performance with outstanding flexibility. With the keel lowered, the yacht benefits from full draft and superb sailing characteristics, while the raised position allows access to shallow waters, natural harbours and protected anchorages. This makes the yacht exceptionally versatile for cruising throughout the Baltic Sea and Northern Europe.
The cockpit is both functional and comfortable, with all controls logically positioned for safe and efficient handling. At the same time, the cockpit provides a pleasant social space while in harbour or at anchor, underlining the yacht’s versatility.
Below deck, the yacht offers a warm, inviting and intelligently utilised interior designed for comfortable cruising and extended stays onboard.
The galley is practical and well laid out with excellent workspace and storage solutions. The berths are comfortable, and the yacht comfortably accommodates 4–5 persons, with sleeping capacity for up to 7.
Storage solutions are discreetly integrated throughout the yacht, creating a clean and harmonious interior atmosphere.
One particularly thoughtful detail is the heated locker benches, allowing wet sailing gear to dry effectively overnight — a practical solution adding significant onboard comfort. The yacht’s heating system is generally very well executed and ensures a comfortable interior climate in all seasons.
The yacht has had only a few careful and dedicated owners and is presented in remarkably well-maintained condition. She was previously based in Flensburg and originally owned by the builder himself.
The current owner has cared for the yacht for the past 9 years with continuous maintenance and professional assistance for varnish work and technical installations.
Despite her classic wooden yacht appearance, maintenance remains manageable thanks to the strong and stable cold-molded construction, with no known structural damage.
The yacht is stored in a heated indoor facility and is delivered fully prepared and ready to sail.
This Nissen 34 is the ideal yacht for the quality-conscious sailor seeking exceptional craftsmanship, true sailing performance and unique custom solutions — qualities rarely found in modern production yachts.
