Sea Loft – Beneteau Sense 50, built 2011
Fresh-water boat / only 160 engine hours / 20h under sail / condition like new
Some boats are built mainly for sailing, others mainly for living aboard. This Sense 50 brings the two together in a way best described as a loft on the water: open, bright, generously laid out and furnished so that time on board feels easy, whether under sail, at anchor or simply in the marina.
Much of life happens outside. The spacious covered outdoor area with tables and benches offers room for relaxed evenings with family and friends. When the air turns cooler in the evening or in autumn, the camper enclosure closes the sides, turning the cockpit into a sheltered space and keeping the boat fully usable well beyond the main season. On the foredeck, a sunbed made specifically for this yacht offers another great zone on board.
Below deck, a large saloon with a roomy galley invites cooking and sitting together in one open space. Two guest cabins, one with a double berth and one with bunk beds, each sleep two people, complemented by a day bathroom with toilet and shower. At the heart of the layout is the large owner's cabin with its own en suite bathroom, a private retreat that completes the loft idea. Accessible from outside, there is also a crew cabin for one person and ample storage for everything needed on longer stays aboard.
The condition is just as convincing as the sense of space. The yacht has been used exclusively in the fresh water of Lake Constance and has never seen salt water. With around 160 engine hours and roughly 20 hours under sail, the sails are practically new. The owners have had her professionally serviced every year and invested continuously: most of the onboard electronics were renewed in 2021, a new summer cover and bimini followed in 2024, and the antifouling was redone this season. The service, engine and bow thruster batteries are also nearly new. The result is a yacht in excellent, almost new condition.
This yacht is offered on a brokerage basis on behalf of the owner.

Manche Boote sind vor allem zum Segeln gebaut, andere vor allem zum Wohnen. Diese Sense 50 verbindet beides auf eine Weise, die sich am ehesten mit einem Loft auf dem Wasser beschreiben lässt: offen, hell, großzügig geschnitten und so eingerichtet, dass man gern Zeit an Bord verbringt, ob unter Segeln, vor Anker oder einfach im Hafen.
Das Leben spielt sich zu einem großen Teil draußen ab. Der weitläufige Außenbereich mit Tisch und Sitzbänken bietet unter Dach Platz für gesellige Runden mit Familie und Freunden. Wird es abends oder im Herbst kühler, lässt sich der Bereich mit dem Camper-Verdeck schließen. So wird das Cockpit zu einem geschützten Raum, und das Boot bleibt auch außerhalb der Hauptsaison voll nutzbar. Auf dem Vorschiff wartet eine Sonnenliege, die eigens für dieses Schiff angefertigt wurde und eine weitere Zone an Bord kreiert.
Unter Deck öffnet sich ein großer Salon mit geräumiger Pantry, in dem Kochen und Zusammensitzen ganz selbstverständlich ineinander übergehen. Zwei Gästekabinen, eine mit Doppelbett und eine mit Stockbett, bieten jeweils Platz für zwei Personen, dazu kommt ein Tagesbad mit Toilette und Dusche. Das Herzstück ist die große Eignerkabine mit eigenem Bad, ein privater Rückzugsort, der dem Loft-Gedanken seinen Abschluss gibt. Von außen zugänglich findet sich zusätzlich eine Crewkabine für eine Person sowie reichlich Stauraum für alles, was man auf längeren Aufenthalten an Bord mitnehmen möchte.
Ebenso überzeugend wie das Raumgefühl ist der Zustand. Das Boot wurde ausschließlich im Süßwasser des Bodensees gefahren und kennt kein Salzwasser. Mit rund 160 Motorstunden und etwa 20 Stunden unter Segeln sind die Segel praktisch neu. Die Eigner haben das Schiff jedes Jahr fachgerecht warten lassen und laufend investiert: 2021 wurde die Bordelektronik weitgehend erneuert, 2024 folgten eine neue Sommerpersenning und Bimini, und in dieser Saison wurde das Unterwasserschiff neu gemacht. Auch die Batterien für Service, Motor und Bugstrahlruder sind nahezu neu.
Das Ergebnis ist ein Schiff in einwandfreiem, fast neuwertigem Zustand.
