Beautifully Restored Ericson 38 Sailboat! Has undergone extensive upgrades!

Introduced in 1980, the Ericson 38 was designed by the incomparable Bruce King whose talent for drawing beautiful boats of near-perfect proportions.

For the most part, the hull of the Ericson 38 is constructed of a solid composite of fiberglass and resin although some core material is used in some flat sections above the waterline to add stiffness without excessive weight.

The Ericson 38 utilizes an elaborate system of high strength fiberglass fabric and high-density foam to form a structural grid of transverse floors and longitudinal stringers.

Hull Transom is the "reverse" style with swim ladder. But its purpose is for speed and strength of stern stay. A limited Number of Ericson 38s have this feature.

The engine throttle and transmission shift linkage are mounted directly on the steering wheel pedestal. Compass and fathometer readout and fathometer alarm are also pedestal mounted.

Compass and all gauges are lighted. Knot meter and relative wind direction gauges are installed to be visible to Helmsman and cockpit crew.

Hydraulic Stern Stay Tensioner and release controls are installed next to Helm for easy one-hand operation by Helmsman or crew member.

Additional features: Starboard Galley large efficient refrigeration/freezer with the compressor mounted in aft quarter hatch, Factory coal/wood stove heat, Factory built in wine rack factory entertainment center, The tall mast rig was factory ordered with super-strength stay and shroud cabling, Hot Water Heater: Raritan Capacity, 6 gallons, Formica countertops with double stainless steel deep sinks with pressure water, Oven & Stove: Galley Maid (3) burner, alcohol.
