Designed by Jean Berret with an interior by Philippe Starck, the First 32S5 remains a sought-after model thanks to its balance between performance, simplicity and onboard comfort. The sail inventory is a major asset, including a 25 m² triradial DCX semi full-batten mainsail, 22 m² triradial DCX furling genoa with UV strip, Dacron jib, two spinnakers, gennaker and spinnaker pole. This complete wardrobe allows the yacht to adapt easily to different sailing conditions, from fast cruising to more spirited sailing.
The yacht benefits from notable recent technical work, including standing rigging replaced in 2021, new fresh water pump in 2025, new electric bilge pump in 2025, 25 mm propeller shaft replaced in 02/2026, shaft seal replaced in 02/2026 and engine service completed in 02/2026 with fuel filter, oil filter and impeller replacement.
The Volvo Penta 2003 28 hp diesel engine, paired with a Max-Prop folding propeller, provides a reliable and suitable propulsion setup for this type of yacht. Navigation equipment includes a Garmin 92 GPS with G3 Mediterranean charting, B&G Tridata on NMEA 2000 network, fixed VHF, handheld VHF, compass, navigation lights, mast light and anchor light.
On board, the equipment is simple, practical and well suited to cruising: 3-burner gas stove with oven, double sink, refrigerator, tableware for 6 people, 150 L fresh water tank, 12 V – 200 Ah LiFePO4 service battery, 12 V – 60 Ah engine battery, 220 V / 12 V charger, dedicated LiFePO4 charger, electrical control panel and interior LED lighting.
