The Kelsall Suncat 40 is a well proven model with many happy owners, including Round the World cruisers. Lightweight and simple layout and equipment. Performance has always been a feature of the Kelsall Suncat 40 design. Regular 200 mile days were reported on one of the circumnavigation. Twin diesel are under the aft berths and work well in this arrangement, with 5ft, wide berth over. This is a distinctive, capable and roomy vessel for the serious sailor, offering great comfort, easy, fast and safe handling in all conditions. Set-up for extended expeditions, with accommodation for 6 adults and with all systems maintained and equipment up to date, she is ready to sail anywhere in safety and comfort. The cockpit is roomy with long bench seats to recline in full shelter; plus a commanding view from the helm, with hydraulic steering on hydraulic autopilot to give effortless easy watch-keeping. Twin 27 HP YANMAR diesel inboard engines with shaft drives. All sail controls are operated from the protection of the cockpit, she is set up for short-handed sailing.
