The First 30 winks at the world of regattas. If, in fact, the search for the right compromise between comfort and performance has not been underestimated, the aspiration of the transalpine company seems to be to put in the water a model capable of excelling among the buoys both in real time and in plywood, thanks to a very low rating.
Designed by Juan Kouyoumdijan, a world-renowned designer of the America's Cup and Volvo Ocean Race, the First 30 underwent a series of tests under the supervision of Michel Desjoyeaux, winner of the last Vendée Globe.
His task was to fine-tune the boat and optimize its performance.

The main novelty in the design of the First 30 compared to its predecessor, the First 31.7, is the rearmost position of the tree, in the style of the Open 60. A choice that allows you to arm a larger genoa without cover.
Another peculiarity is the absence of the paterazzo; The control of the mast is guaranteed thanks to crossed angles greater than 23 degrees and a sheet of the mainsail, stuck at the end of the boom with rail on the stern beam.
