Le CARTER 37 est un plan de Dick CARTER construit chez Olympic Yachts en Grèce. Il est issu d’YDRA, vainqueur de la ONE TON CUP en 1973. Dick CARTER s’est rendu célèbre pour l’ingéniosité et les palmarés de RABBIT, TINA, OPTIMIST, RED ROOSTER, CORIOLAN... A sa sortie, le CARTER 37 est salué par la presse spécialisée comme un voilier de course-croisière rapide et solide. Son génois à grand recouvrement et son faible franc-bord en font un voilier particulièrement élégant qui attirent les regards. Son lest plomb de 2,85 t en fait un voilier raide et sûr. Ce bateau a bénéficié d’un "refit" en 2020- 2021, notamment : Traitement anti osmose en 2007 (ACS Nantes). Aéro-gommage 20% et revêtement époxy en 2021.Peinture complète des œuvres mortes en 2021.Dépose et repose de la quille pour réfection du joint en 2022. Conçu pour la course-croisière, le carré comporte 2 couchettes basses avec sellerie refaite en 2021 et toiles antiroulis 2021 et 2 couchettes hautes. Les peintures, vernis de planchers, de portes et tous les vaigrages sont neufs de 2021. A bâbord de la descente, se trouvent le coin cuisine et ses rangements avec évier et eau sous pression, glacière et frigo 12V, réchaud inox 2 feux gaz (2013) sur cardans . A tribord de la descente se situent la table à cartes , les instruments de navigation et le tableau électrique. Le navigateur dispose d’une couchette avec hublot ouvrant dans le cockpit.
A l’avant bâbord, un cabinet de toilettes entièrement refait en 2016 avec hublot ouvrant, éclairage, miroir, évier et eau sous pression, WC chimique et rangements. A tribord, face au cabinet de toilette une penderie double avec toiles de fermeture (2021). When it was released, the CARTER 37 is hailed by the specialist press as a fast and solid racing-cruising sailboat. Its large overlapping genoa and low freeboard make it a particularly elegant sailboat that will attract attention. Its 2.85 t lead ballast makes it a stiff and safe sailboat. This boat benefited from a "refit" in 2020-2021, in particular: Anti-osmosis treatment in 2007 (ACS Nantes). 20% aero-scrub and epoxy coating in 2021. Complete painting of the deadworks in 2021. Removal and refitting of the keel for repair of the joint in 2022. Designed for racing-cruising, the saloon has 2 low berths with upholstery redone in 2021 and 2021 anti-roll canvases and 2 high berths. The paints, varnishes of floors, doors and all linings are new from 2021.
