Cantiere Carolini Mario-Trieste Vaporina 10.50m

The story of this boat, built in an English shipyard, is like an adventure novel because it was born in 1917 as a support boat for an America's Cup in England and then ended up in Italy in the hands of a Sardinian coral diver thanks to his English partner who had inherited it from an uncle.
It was registered in Italy and refurbished by the Carolini Mario shipyard in Trieste in 1946 and then transferred to Sardinia where the coral worker installed a small hyperbaric chamber for decompression after coral fishing.
After having had several owners, the glance of the last owner fascinated by the beautiful knife-shaped bow, began a profound restoration operation, from 2007 to 2010, carried out with great skill on Lake Como.
A light and powerful 110 HP Yanmar engine with an electronic control lever from Indemar was chosen for the engine, and an electric bow thruster from Vetus (Bow Thruster) was installed to facilitate manoeuvring on the quay. The instrumentation is basic but complete: a sonar, a VHF radio, a stainless steel compass, an electric headlight in the bow and of course a comfortable windlass.
In addition, to bring out the beauty of the hull on the bow starboard, two brass plates have been applied on both sides, providing the boat with an appearance that fully places it in the era of construction.
The tradition of construction was carried out with precious woods and with the technological spirit of modern times. Restoration and renovation go hand in hand in order to provide charm and comfort to a boat, which after a century of life, always excites and excites, today as then.
A custom-made cover for the entire hull and several awnings for the bridge and the aft room are supplied.
