Now offered for sale in Tahiti, French Polynesia, “Yggdrasil” is a well-equipped, 4-cabin 2019 Nautitech Open 40, ideal for cruising the Pacific or further afield.
This performance cruising catamaran combines comfort, simplicity, and ocean-going capabilities in one of the most popular layouts in her size range.
Bought in April 2024 in Italy, “Yggdrasil” was extensively upgraded and prepared for serious passagemaking, including participation in the ARC Rallye 2024 (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers).
All necessary safety and offshore compliance upgrades were completed to meet ARC standards, including new EPIRB, liferaft (Plastimo ISO 9650-1, Nov 2024), upgraded fire extinguishers, MOB systems, and more.
Highlights include:
- Extensive sail upgrade (Oct 2024): North Sails Square Top Mainsail, Self-Tacking Jib, and HELIX Furling Gennaker – all in top-tier NorLam and Code-Tec laminate
- Solar-powered autonomy: Over 2kW of solar via SunBeam and other panels, supported by a robust lithium house bank (624Ah)
- Watermaker (100L/h) and Honda generator for full off-grid capability
- B&G navigation instruments electronics suite, upgraded in 2024 with Orca Core 2 integration, Simrad radar.
- 4 comfortable cabins, 2 heads, a well-ventilated saloon, and complete galley with refrigeration and portable freezer with extra fridge in the cockpit.
