Built by Jeanneau in 2012, the Sun Odyssey 409 established itself as a benchmark among 12-metre cruisers: seaworthy enough for coastal and offshore passages, comfortable enough to host family and friends for extended stays. This pre-owned example, FRANCE flagged, is offered at €139,000 VAT paid.
Construction and seakeeping
Measuring 11.98 m overall with a 3.99 m beam, 2.10 m draft and a 7,500 kg displacement, the 409 provides a wide, stable platform. The hull is polyester and the deck GRP - fibreglass. The rig features an in-mast furling battened mainsail, a brand-new genoa (2026), a storm jib, a spinnaker/gennaker, a code and a bowsprit, with lazy jacks and lazy bag on the boom, halyards led aft to the cockpit, winches including one electric, backstay and adjustable mainsail traveller.

Power comes from a 2012 YANMAR 3JH5CE 4-cylinder diesel on sail drive, showing 3,340 hours.
