About the Faurby shipyard
Faurby is a Danish yard based in Lunderskov, known for "elegant, fast yachts with high quality standards." Boats are built in GRP sandwich lamination with a foam core, reinforced by a continuous steel frame — the same construction method used on the 363 Deluxe (your ad already references this as the "laminated steel frame"). The yard places strong emphasis on hand-built craftsmanship and customization, giving customers real freedom over layout, fit-out and materials. In 2025, sister yard Nordship (known for robust long-distance yachts with deck saloons) was formally folded into the Faurby brand, strengthening the group as a whole.
About the 363 model
The Faurby 363 was designed by Niels Peter Faurby himself, first built in 1998. A few technical facts that support both quality and sailing performance:
Ballast ratio of roughly 40% (2,300 kg of lead against 5,700 kg displacement) — a high figure that points to a very stiff, upright and seaworthy yacht that stays composed in strong wind
Sail area-to-displacement ratio of about 19.8 — a balanced figure between a comfortable cruiser and a sportier yacht, backing up the "light wind performance" claim in the ad
Fin keel with a spade rudder — a more modern, efficient setup than older long-keel designs
Volvo Penta 2030 diesel — a proven, durable engine standard for the series

Volvo Penta MD2030 20.2kW
