With a length of approximately 9.30 metres and a beam of 3.15 metres, she offers a combination of sheltered outdoor space and practical accommodation inside. Her draught is approximately 1.45 metres and her air draught is around 1.85 metres. This makes her suitable for various inland waterways and sailing areas where these dimensions are important.
The boat has been used for day trips, weekends, holidays and longer stays. She has also been considered as a houseboat. Her layout makes her suitable for a family, a couple or someone wishing to stay on board for longer periods. The current owner describes her as a family boat with space for two to four people. Over the years, she has been personally fitted out, and various parts have been worked on.
How much sleeping accommodation does she offer? There are five permanent berths on board. The exact arrangement depends on how the saloon is used and on the mattresses available. This gives the boat plenty of versatility for a family or group that occasionally wants to travel together. Those mainly travelling as a couple will benefit from additional living space inside.
The accommodation consists of a dining area, mattresses, a cooking stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator and freezer. Hot water is also available. For sanitary facilities, she has a manual toilet, a shower and a holding tank with a capacity of approximately 200 litres. What facilities are available on deck and inside? The helm is located outside and is operated with a steering wheel. The boat has a single rudder. On board there are an alternator, voltmeter, wind generator and solar panel. Depending on the condition and operation of the individual components, these facilities can help manage the electrical power while staying on board. A lifebuoy is included as safety equipment.
The Contest 31 HT has a Volvo Penta diesel engine. According to the information provided, the engine is operational. As the engine’s year of manufacture, specification and maintenance history have not been specified in greater detail, it is advisable to pay attention to the engine compartment, connections, controls and general condition of the installation during the viewing day. A trailer is not included in the sale.
